Thursday at SF Market BUNNY WILLIAMS

Another stimulating and insightful presentation today. This one by world renown Interior Designer and Garden Expert, Bunny Williams.  Her relaxed and entertaining approach was very refreshing.  It was such an honor to hear her speak with such enthusiasm about her "Three Decades of Decorating Elegant and Comfortable Houses".    A reception and book signing followed at Shears and Windows Showroom at the Galleria.

Kravet Fabrics and Furniture treated the design field to a great demonstration by their master upholsterer making a beautiful chair right before our eyes.  Here he is showing just how an 8-way hand-tied frame is made to last the lifetime of the owner.  A lucky designer won the drawing to take home the $2,500.00 chair.  Darn, I just knew I was going to win it, too. lol

Style and Substance The Best of Elle Decor

Laura and I enjoyed the Keynote Speaker this morning in San Francisco at Winter Market.  Margaret Russell, Editor in Chief of Elle Decor Magazine, the international fashion magazine for the home, was captivating and informative.  Her power point presentation shared some of her favorite and fascinating photographs of some dazzling rooms in her newest book, Style and Substance The Best of Elle Decor.  We enjoyed meeting Margaret and getting her autographed copy of this substantial reference book.
 
It was a gorgeous day in the City and the Market was well attended.  I will post later on the full day.  I have  many pictures and much to share about our busy day.  But, now I need to get ready for another big day!

Winter Furniture Market in San Francisco

Hello.

This is all new to me and it's my first "blog". But, I know there are many of you out there that have lots of interior design questions that we can help you with in just a few minutes. Please post your questions and I will do my best to make this a useful resource for you.

I'm looking forward to attending the Winter Market in San Francisco this week and to see all of the new season introductions from our vendors in the Galleria and Showplace Square. It's always a fun time, and everyone is encouraging and looking towards better times in our industry. It's always a great way to get inspired.

I will let you know who was our favorite speaker and what the forecasts of trends coming up will be. Colors, patterns, textiles, and forms will all be addressed.

I'm open to comments and criticism so please let me hear from you.
